Yanely Bolanos SHPEP Louisville

This summer I was part of an internship called SHPEP Louisville where I met with doctors, took a medical school class, and understood what it means and how I can become a doctor. It was an amazing experience because I got to network with different doctors and learn more about what I can do to have a better application. My favorite memory was learning how to do stitches!

This summer I am also part of an internship called NSURP through the University of Arizona. I am able to have a research mentor where I am working on HPV research. I also get to attend workshops twice a week to learn about graduate programs and professionalism in the research world. This has been one of my favorite experiences and my first step into doing research.

I also had the opportunity to go to D.C. and look at Georgetown medical school.
