CBC Student Spotlight- Yoneri Bueno-Diaz

Class of 2023

Hello, my name is Yoneri Bueno-Diaz, and I am a senior majoring in Biochemistry and working in Dr. Betancourt’s lab at WEST. We work in energy and water and our goals are to effectively treat water using methods that reduce energy consumption. We also monitor infectious agents for pandemic prevention and prediction.

After my graduation in the Fall of 2023, I plan on continuing my education and pursuing a PhD in Environmental Science. In my spare time I like to read, knit and play with my dogs.
