"Yá’át’ééh Shik’éi Dóó Shidine’é , Cody Tsinnijinnie Yinishyé. Bįįh bitoo’nii Nishłįi dóó Táchii’nii Báshishchíín adóó Tábąąhá Dashicheii dóó Tábąąhái Dashináli. Béésh Haagééd Déé Nashá (Hello, my relatives and my people, my name is Cody Tsinnijinnie. I am of the Deer Springs Clan. I am born for the Red Running into the Water Clan. My maternal grandfathers are the Edge Water clan. My paternal grandfathers are the Edge Water clan. I am from Coppermine, Arizona).

Hello,  I'm a proud Navajo student from Page, Arizona, raised in Kirtland, New Mexico. I’m majoring in Chemistry. I’m not currently in any labs, but I hope to be part of some in the future to gain more hands-on experience and deepen my understanding of how chemistry connects to medicine and the human body.

After graduation, I plan to continue my education in medicine and attend medical school. My goal is to become a general surgeon, where I can combine scientific knowledge with compassionate care to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Throughout High School, I’ve worked hard to stay dedicated to my studies and push through challenging coursework. One of my biggest challenges has been managing a heavy academic load while maintaining balance in other parts of my life. I’ve learned to overcome this by staying organized, seeking help when needed, and reminding myself of my long-term goals. These experiences have strengthened my perseverance and focus; skills I know will serve me well in college and going into medical school in the future.

I come from a family that values hard work, humility, perseverance, and raised strongly connected to traditional values, respect, and education. My academic journey has been shaped by the teachings of my family, who emphasized the importance of uplifting myself, learning new things, and giving back to my people. My roots have taught me to stay grounded and to always strive for something greater, not just for myself but for my community as well. My family’s support and sacrifices inspire me every day to keep moving forward."
