CBC Alumni Spotlight: Dorien Haney

Biochemistry BS, Class of 2022.

"I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2022. I furthered my education directly after graduating with a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Arizona State University in 2023.  

Since then, I have been working in the Defense and Aerospace sector. I worked at Raytheon (Tucson) for two years as an Engineering Team Lead in Hypersonics. I was recently promoted from Team Lead to Senior Project Engineer at Collins Aerospace (Raytheon's sister company) in August. The company relocated me to Connecticut, and it is absolutely gorgeous, but nothing will ever beat those Arizona sunsets.

Being a first-generation college student is never easy. I went down a completely unknown path that no one in my family had faced before. Looking back, I am very proud of the person I have become. I am grateful to the University of Arizona for being my first home away from home and providing me with a place to grow. Go Wildcats!!" ~ Dorian.
