CBC Students, Faculty, and Staff enjoyed a clear view of the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024, from UA Mall. The last time an eclipse like this occurred was in 2017, and there will not be another one like it until 2044.

On Monday, April 8, the U.S. was united in witnessing the last total solar eclipse for the next two decades. People from across the contiguous 48 states, with good weather conditions, were able to see either partial totality or the full eclipse; Tucson and Southern Arizona fell into the partial, with 75% of the moon covering the sun.
