Congratulations to October Owen for being selected for the following 2023-2024 Scholarships!

Miriam H. Klaiman Memorial Scholarship, Patrick M. Hefferan Memorial Scholarship, Spiro & Mary Lee Cakos Scholarship (UA donors), Salomon and Carr Morgan (donors through the Galileo Circle scholarship) and the Science Opportunity Scholarship (through another UA donor, Christine Curtis)

"I am incredibly humbled by all of the financial support I have been granted through these donations and scholarships. Paying for college and other life expenses by myself is very stressful, and the assistance I have been provided has been an immeasurable relief that has allowed me to focus more on my studies. Applying for these scholarships was extremely difficult for me. Not only was it a time-consuming endeavor, but--like most people--I have a really difficult time asking for help, or even feeling like I deserve the assistance. But I persisted and applied to as many scholarships as I qualified for, and am immensely grateful for all the help I have received as a result."
