Inaugural Recipient of the Matthew and Jan Parker Krause Scholar for '23-'24: Kimber Focke

Congratulations to Kimber Focke, CBC Graduate Student, who was selected as the Inaugural recipient of the Matthew and Jan Parker Krause Scholar for 2023-2024!

Kimber Focke—born and raised in Charlotte, NC—completed her B.S. in chemistry at UNC Charlotte, where she developed a strong passion for mass spectrometry and analytical separations during her undergraduate analytical courses. She returned to UNC Charlotte to earn her master's degree in chemistry before moving to the University of Arizona to join the Marty Lab and pursue a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry. Kimber is passionate about music and enjoys playing guitar, listening to live music, exploring nature, playing with animals and wild raptors, and picking up new skills and hobbies in her free time.
