Black History Month Spotlight: Charles Ngana
In Celebration of Black History Month, CBC is spotlighting Charles Ngana, a CHEM 152 Teaching Assistant and Chemistry PhD student.
“As a Teaching Assistant, I lead laboratory sections, guide students through experiments, ensure proper laboratory safety and techniques, grade lab reports, and support students during exams.
My favorite part of being a TA is seeing students gain confidence as concepts begin to click. Many students start the semester unsure of their abilities, but with consistent guidance and practice, they grow more comfortable with both the theory and hands-on laboratory work. Being part of that growth is very rewarding.
Teaching has reinforced my belief that learning is a shared journey. When students ask questions and challenge ideas, it deepens my own understanding and reminds me why I chose a career in science."
