The CBC Careers in Chemical Sciences (CiCS) program held its annual Fall Career Workshop on Saturday, October 21 in the Biological Sciences West building on the University of Arizona campus. This year’s CiCS workshop was co-sponsored by the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) and included 54 undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoc participants from across the UA campus and from Arizona State University. The workshop included 14 invited speakers and panelists who joined Drs. Teresa Evans and Allison Goldberg from ASBMB in a day-long workshop consisting of an active learning “discover your passion” session, two expert panel discussions, and afternoon courses on resume writing, interviewing skills, and networking. Our next CiCS event is the Spring Employer Networking event to be held in April 2018. Visit the CiCS webpage to learn more about the program and to obtain information regarding the one-on-one CiCS Mentoring Program.
Visit the Catalyze Your Career webpage to view the agenda and list of workshop participants.
