The Mike Cusanovich Research Symposium Poster Session will be held March 2nd, 2012
Over his many years of research, Mike always exposed a broad scientific interest. His research covered areas of biochemical, biomedical and bioengineering, and more recently biofuel research. Mike was always engaged in student teaching, both in the classroom and in the laboratory, and was a mentor and scientific resource for students and colleagues at all levels.
As a reflection of his diversified interest we will be accepting posters from the following general research areas:
- Protein Biochemistry:
For example: photobiology, electron transport, photosynthesis, cytochromes, structural biology, enzyme kinetics and protein purification.
- Bioengineering and Biofuel Research:
For example: biomedical engineering, biosensors, algal biofuels, biomass production, bioenergy crops and biorefining.
We encourage faculty, post-docs and students to submit an abstract. Abstracts will be reviewed and categorized in two Divisions:
- Students (graduate and undergraduate)
- Faculty and Postdocs
Poster submissions have been closed.
Rules and Guidelines:
Abstracts should be no more than 350 words and should briefly explain the hypothesis/objectives of the research; experimental methods utilized; essential results gathered from relevant data; conclusion(s) to the overall investigation. The research poster must be an original work of study with credit given to each individual who contributed to the project.
Poster stands support a maximum size poster of 4' tall x 8' wide, but your poster does not have to be this large. The poster stands are free-standing (but conected to each other in rows) and have thick cardboard backing, so please bring adequate supplies to successfully display your poster (ie, plenty of tacks, large clips, double sided sticky tape, or whatever will hold your poster appropriately.)
